The business sector's commitment to human rights

Questionnaire to review the contribution of companies to the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles

LINK TO SURVEY

The United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and the Bahrain Declaration have become the global benchmark to understand and distinguish the respective roles and responsibilities of governments and companies vis-a-vis human rights.

Through its consistent work over the past ten years, IOE has advocated for companies to thoroughly understand the UNGPs and appreciate the responsibilities of business, including ways to increase transparency, as it is a prerequisite to meet the demands of consumers, investors, governments and society at large.

This questionnaire has been developed for companies of all sizes. Please use it as an opportunity to showcase the work your company has been doing or let us know where you need further support or information. The data gathered will be treated with strict confidentiality and you will not be singled out (data will be aggregated).

The final aim is to report on how to deepen and strengthen the implementation of the UNGPs by the business sector over the next ten years, review where progress has taken place, demonstrate good practices that can be built upon, highlight what key obstacles stand in the way of full implementation, and how and what should be done to speed up the implementation of these principles.
