Latest Business and Human Rights Newsletter Now Available

Do not miss the new edition of IOE’s Business and Human Rights Newsletter.

The September edition of the IOE newsletter on Business and Human Rights (BHR) carries important updates and recent developments both internally at the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) but also local, national, regional and international levels.

First, we are pleased to announce that IOE has recently approved the nomination of the new Chair of the IOE Policy Working Group on Human Rights and Responsible Business Conduct, Ms. Ewa Staworzynska.

On the BHR front, IOE continues to support the business contribution and commitment to the BHR field through the design and inception phase of an IOE Centre on Human Rights and Responsible Business Conduct. The newsletter also includes updates on the European Union’s current and future regulations, the UN BHR Treaty Process and various BHR developments at the International Labour Organization (ILO), other UN organs and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Newly adopted National Action Plans on Business and Human Rights are also featured. This issue also rounds up the most recent regional and national legislative trends.

Lastly, we invite you to look closely at IOE’s Fall 2023 agenda at the end of this newsletter. It will be another busy end of the year for developments in the field.

You can find the newsletter in the "Resources" section.
