Ya disponible: Informe anual de seguimiento del G20 de la OIE y Deloitte

El informe de este año evalúa el impacto de las recomendaciones del B20 en los esfuerzos del G20 por avanzar en los ODS (en inglés).

The International Organisation of Employers (IOE) and Deloitte have published the latest edition of their joint G20 Monitoring Report. It will be launched publicly on 20 July during the G20 Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting in Indore, India. Please note the version you are receiving today is under embargo until 20 July.

Some of the key takeaways from the 2023 edition include:

  • Confirmation that the G20 -one of the leading international forums for economic cooperation- consistently integrates B20 priorities and recommendations. These include policy actions on workforce development, inclusive opportunities, labour-market formalisation, and partnerships. Improvements in these areas are crucial for achieving SDG 8.
  • The report showcases survey results from IOE members, demonstrating how G20 outcomes influenced and were implemented at the national level. Respondents found that their governments addressed G20 priorities effectively, resulting in concrete outcomes on national policies.
  • While the policy influence from the B20 to the G20 and the impact at the national level are working, global economic challenges such as inflation, rising debt, and increased deficits are impeding overall progress towards the SDGs.

The report concludes with a call for strengthening and expanding partnerships and increasing collaboration between international bodies and organisations, governments, and businesses to accelerate action to achieve all the SDGs.
