For this joint IOE-Synapse-Microsoft initiative, Senegal represents the first phase of the Tech@Work programme, which will train 20,000 young people in four African countries - the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Senegal and Uganda - to become entrepreneurs.

The launch event of the Tech@Work programme aims to:

1. Inform the general public about the content and objectives of the training
2. Increase the visibility of the training programme and attract more applications
3. Discuss issues related to education and employment in Senegal
4. Discuss trends in Senegal in the field of IT.
