Foro 2023 de Naciones Unidas sobre Empresas y Derechos Humanos en Asia Meridional

To promote responsible business conduct in South Asia, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights (UNWG), and the International Labour Organization (ILO) are organising the 4th UN South Asia Forum on Business and Human Rights on 20-22 March 2023 in Kathmandu, Nepal.  

The Forum aims to facilitate a robust and multi-stakeholder dialogue based on the UNGPs that will foster joint action to prevent, mitigate and remediate business-related human rights and environmental abuses.​ 

As part of this Forum, IOE is pleased to have arranged the participation of representatives from employers’ organisationsin the region. This includes key speaking engagements for representatives from Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan, who will present the views of the private sector, including in the high-level opening plenary.
