En el marco del Día de África en el Foro CTI, el 2 de mayo, la OIE y la USCIB organizan un evento sobre las innovaciones del sector privado en la región y su contribución al avance de los ODS (en inglés).

The first Science, Technology and Innovation Forum (STI) Africa Day will take place on 2 May 2023. The Business and Industry Major Group (B&I MG), led bythe International Organisation of Employers (IOE) and the United States Council for Business (USCIB), will host a virtual side event from 10:00 – 11:30 am (EST)on 2 May focused on the innovative contributions of the African private sector that have or could serve as catalysts for achieving the SDGs.

The meeting will highlight a selection of public-private sector partnerships in the Least Developed Countries in Africa. The focus will be on advancing innovation, science and technological cooperation and spotlighting the role of business and employers’ organisations towards advancing the 2030 Agenda.

Invited Keynote speaker: H.E. Amb Mathu Joyini, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of South Africa to the United Nationsand Co-facilitator of the 2023 UN STI Forum

Facilitators: Norine Kennedy, VP, USCIB and Shea Gopaul, IOE’s Permanent Representative to the UN.
