IOE passes on the invitation from the OHCHR to invite all ITCcompanies part of its network, including SMEs, to participate in the newly createdPeer Learning Platform (PLP), which will provide foundational guidance on the UNGPs to any self-defined tech company over a webinar format.

  • Register for the 8  February session at either10am CET or 9am PST. This first session will introduce participants to the B-Tech Project and share the objectives of the new PLP, additionally providing a brief "UNGPs 101" module.

Each webinar will focus on a different aspect of the UNGPs. The PLP is a series of webinars open to participants from a diverse range of tech companies from different geographic regions. The PLP is intended to broaden tech companies’ engagement with the UNGPs, informed by B-Tech foundational guidance; support capacity building within these companies; broker connections among human rights functions across the industry, and; foster geographic outreach to tech firms headquartered globally.

Topics in the webinar series will include:

  • Introduction to B-Tech and the UNGPs (UNGPs 101)
  • Human Rights Due Diligence and End Use
  • Regulation
  • Human Rights Risk in Business Models
  • Human Rights and Responsible Investment in Tech
  • Access to Remedy
