The Agenda for this important Annual Forum happening on 13 and 14 October 2022 is now available!

Take part in the 14th annual Engaging Business Forum, hosted by The Coca-Cola Company and sponsored by the International Organisation of Employers, the United States Council for International Business and the US Chamber of Commerce on 13 and 14 October 2022. After 2 years of hosting the Forum in a virtual format due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s event will be hybrid, allowing participation in person at The Coca-Cola Company’s headquarters in Atlanta or online.

The Forum continues to be one of the preeminent business and human rights conferences, where business leaders and experts from civil society, trade unions and governments hold candid discussions on the challenges faced by businesses in demonstrating respect for human rights throughout their value chains. The new ILO Director-General, Gilbert Houngbo, has confirmed his participation.

This year, the Conference will look at the Future of Responsible Business Conduct - How expectations on business are changing in a world of increasing human rights regulations and geo-political challenges.

Key themes include:

  • Law – Where is it going in the human rights space and what does it mean for business
  • Metrics – Measuring impact in a principled and practical way
  • Downstream – How businesses should master the next frontier of human rights due diligence
  • Empowerment – The role of business in driving social equity beyond the workplace
  • Benchmarks – The future of investor and stakeholder assessment of corporate sustainability
  • Climate – The imperative and challenges of considering climate risk through a human rights lens
  • Positive Rights – How should companies practically think about the challenge of addressing socio-economic rights
  • Remedy and Grievance Mechanisms – How to best uncover harm and support effective remedy collaborations
