New IOE Publication on Mental Health and Wellbeing at Work
IOE releases new guidelines for employers on steps to promote good mental health at work.
The World Health Organization estimates that 12 billion workdays are lost annually due to depression and anxiety, costing the global economy nearly $1 trillion. Well-balanced actions are needed to maximise the potential of workers and enterprises and to prevent adverse effects on health, safety, wellbeing and performance.
The International Organisation of Employers (IOE) published today guidelines for employers on how to prevent the development of mental health conditions in the workplace, what policies and actions around mental health are recommended to be integrated into a broader well-being policy, and what steps can be taken to facilitate work-life balance and minimize the risk of stress.
