Call for comments on the 2022 CEACR General Survey: Securing decent work for nursing personnel and domestic workers, key actors in the care economy

Invitation to comment on the General Survey to prepare the Employers' position for the discussion at the 2022 Committee on Application of Standards (CAS).

The ILO Committee of Experts (CEACR) General Survey covers four instruments on care economy this year, namely :

  • Nursing Personnel Convention 1977 (No. 149)
  • Nursing Personnel Recommendation 1977 (No. 157)
  • Domestic Workers Convention 2011 (No. 189)
  • Domestic Workers Recommendation 2011 (No.201)

The General Survey will be discussed in a tripartite manner in the Committee on Application of Standards (CAS) of the International Labour Conference in June to adopt a tripartite outcome.

Specialists in your organisation are now invited to comment on the survey to prepare the Employers' position for the discussion at the 2022 CAS. In particular, we invite you to comment on the conclusions (paragraphs 1083-1096) and the paragraphs concerning your respective country.
