As the start of COP27 is fast approaching we are sharing invitations for particular events and activities. Please share the relevant information with your network and interested colleagues and stakeholders who will be attending the event in person. Don’t hesitate to follow-up with any questions or inquiries you might have.

On 12 November, IOE will be hosting an official UNFCCC side-event with Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), Confédération Générale des Entreprises Du Maroc (CGEM), Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and the Federation of Egyptian Industries. Please see in the "Resources" section the Save the Date with a registration link. This high-level event will showcase employers’ organisations activities in climate action. Skilling and collaboration opportunities and challenges will also be discussed along with insights from the Mohammed VI Foundation on education for youth and preparing the workforce of tomorrow through skilling and training frameworks. This event will mark the launch of the Employers’ Alliance for Green Skills which will promote skills frameworks and cooperation between employers and governments. We hope to see you there!

Also on 12 November, IOE will be participating in the annual BizMEF Business Dialogue, organised by USCIB, with several IOE members attending. This event will be held in the Green Zone, Business Pavilion of Egypt, with high-level business and government speakers and is by invitation only. Please register using the invitation in the "Resources" section!

The ILO will be hosting this year a Just Transition Pavilion in the Blue Zone, with a series of events, in partnership with IOE, as well as the opportunity to engage through an online questionnaire on just transition which allows interested stakeholders to ask questions about just transition which will be answered by ILO experts. Please fill out the questionnaire with any considerations on ILO’s just transition action you might have. This will allow for stronger representation of employers’ views on this important policy area. See all the details in the "Resources" section.

On 10 November, the UN Global Compact is organising the annual Caring for Climate high-level meeting. Please find all the details and registration information on this page: Caring for Climate meeting.
