The UN High-level Political Forum (HLPF) 2024 will run from 8-18 July at the United Nations in New York under the theme “Reinforcing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises: The effective delivery of sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions”. It will conduct in-depth review of SDG 1 (no poverty), SDG 2 (zero hunger), SDG 13 (climate action), SDG 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions), and SDG 17 (partnerships for the Goals). The second week will include a three-day ministerial segment, convening as a part of the high-level segment of the Council.
The HLPF is the main UN platform on sustainable development. It has a central role in the follow-up and review of implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). All UN Member States as well as representatives from civil society organizations participate in the HLPF, which meets under the auspices of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
Members and senior professionals from the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) will be taking part in an array of events intricately linked to the Forum or happening alongside it.
