Covid, climate change, and conflict marked 2022, creating economic uncertainty and rising inflation that impacted business resilience.

For the employer community, the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic were still being felt throughout operations as supply chains struggled to return to pre-pandemic levels and the return to office proved challenging. The effects of the pandemic are still deeply impacting societies, companies and individuals.

In this period of uncertainty, it is more important than ever that the IOE global network maintain its cohesion to preserve and strengthen our credibility.

Throughout 2022, the IOE Secretariat strived to provide you with the most relevant policy guidance, latest information on developing trends in the labour and employment markets and support through challenging negotiations at the ILO and beyond. In 2023, we remain deeply committed to supporting you to meet the current challenges facing businesses and the ones that emerge during this period of great unpredictability.
