Business organisations encouraged by UN SG's Report on Migration

IOE, BIAC and ICC issued a letter in response to the UN Secretary-General's Report on "Making Migration work for All". In their joint letter, these business organisations collectively voice their support for the Global Compact for Migration (GCM), which will be a non-binding global framework for international cooperation on migration. The UN Secretary-General's Report recognises the GCM as "an opportunity for Member States to reinforce the benefits of migration, and to bring its challenges under control". The UN Secretary-General's Report also underlines the need for partnerships with the private sector to deliver benefits for all stakeholders concerned with migration. The "zero draft" of the GCM is now available and IOE invites its Members and Partners to submit their input to this draft by writing to Stéphanie Winet (winet(at) before 28 February 2018.
