Organised by the UN Global Compact

Aim of the meeting

The Target Gender Equality Live event will virtually convene business leaders from across the globe together with leaders from government, civil society, philanthropy, academia, and the United Nations to discuss how the private sector can accelerate gender equality, disrupt bias, and unlock leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation to tackle the world's greatest challenges. The day-long programme will include a range of thought-provoking discussions guided by the Women's Empowerment Principles.

The event will also present outcomes from the Target Gender Equality programme which supports participating companies of the UN Global Compact in setting and meeting ambitious targets for gender equality in business and discuss how the private sector can further empower women through areas such as women's entrepreneurship, gender-responsive procurement, and more.
