Change of time: Africa Regional Review of Implementation of Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration

Contribute to this critical review process to ensure the voice of business is part of international debates on migration.

The Regional Review processes, initiated in 2019, aim to monitor current progress on the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM).  The Africa Regional Review Conference will be held in digital format on 31 August - 1 September 2021. The two-day Conference will be preceded by a multi-stakeholder consultation on Friday, 27 August 2021 and side events on Thursday, 26 August 2021.

The International Organisation of Employers (IOE) and International Organization for Migration (IOM) will host a side event on 26 August from 15:30 to 17:00 (CET) to present employers’ views on migration pathways for employment, responsible recruitment frameworks and skills recognitions systems.

The Africa Regional Review conference is jointly organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), with the participation of the African Union Commission (AUC). The Regional Review Conference will be hosted by the Kingdom of Morocco.
