Meeting of experts: Tripartite validation of the technical guidelines on general principles of labour inspection

Aim of the meeting

To ensure that detailed guidance on certain principles contained in the Labour Inspection Convention, 1947 (No. 81) and the Labour Inspection (Agriculture) Convention, 1969 (No. 129), in line with Labour Inspection Recommendation, 1923 (No. 20) and modern international practice on labour inspection, is available for the use of constituents.

These technical guidelines aim at enabling the withdrawal of the Labour Inspection Recommendation, 1923 (No. 20) at the 110th Session of the Conference (2022).

IOE Role

To prepare and coordinate the employers group and assist the spokesperson.
