LATAM Consultation on 10 years of the UNGPs

On 3 December from 3-5pm CET, IOE is organising, jointly with WBCSD and the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights, a consultation on the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in the Latin American region.

The UN Policy Working Group on Business and Human Rights has launched a new project to set the course for a decade of action on business and human rights. Also known as "UNGPs10+/Next Decade BHR", the project focuses on the upcoming 10th anniversary in June 2021 of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the global standard for governments and business to prevent, mitigate and address business-related human rights abuses. This global effort, based on extensive consultations with various stakeholders, aims to

1. take stock of achievements to date and assess gaps and challenges ;
2. develop an ambitious vision and roadmap for implementing the Global Plans of Action more broadly and comprehensively over the next 10 years.
