ILO Technical Meeting on urban transport services

The ILO will hold via virtual means a Technical meeting on the future of decent and sustainable work in urban transport services on 30 August-3 September 2021. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss challenges and solutions relating to the future of decent and sustainable work in urban passenger transport operations and services, with the aim of adopting conclusions, including recommendations for future action. Mass public transport, as well as new business models for on-demand services, will be part of the scope of the meeting.

Eight Employer, eight Worker and Governmental experts will be invited to participate in the elaboration of these conclusions with the possibility to register additional participants as “Observers” to the Employers’ Group. To ensure the most equitable participation possible for participants from different time zones, plenary sittings as well as preparatory group meetings will be organized between noon and 5:00 p.m. Geneva time.
