ILO Technical Meeting on the future of work in aquaculture

The ILO will hold via virtual means a Technical Meeting on the future of work in aquaculture. The purpose is to discuss issues relating to the future of work in the aquaculture sector as well as the promotion of decent work in the rural economy.  The aim is to adopt conclusions, including recommendations for future action by the ILO and Governments.

Eight Employer, eight Worker and Governmental experts will be invited to participate in the elaboration of these conclusions with the possibility to register additional participants as “Observers” to the Employers’ Group. To ensure the most equitable participation possible for participants from different time zones, plenary sittings as well as preparatory group meetings will be organized between noon and 5:00 p.m. Geneva time.
