Aim of the meeting

The High-level event aims to reflect on the advancements since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948, address current human rights challenges, and strategize on promoting human rights in society. It brings together government officials, international organizations, civil society, and the private sector to share best practices and innovative approaches. The focus is on integrating human rights into global policies, emphasizing inclusivity, sustainability, and resilience against threats to human rights.

IOE Role

IOE is set to share a pledge on human rights, vowing to continue to be a leading advocate, vigorously supporting the development and promotion of well-established business and human rights instruments

The pledge calls for cooperation between governments, businesses, and civil society to encourage responsible business conduct and emphasizes the importance of embedding human rights in corporate governance and operational practices.
