UNGA: Bringing Back Workers Safely: SDG8, Workplace Safety and Supply Chains

Aim of the meeting

The event will feature two panels:

• COVID-19 Reflection and Lessons Learned- This will focus on supply chain challenges in the procurement of PPE and other medical equipment, as well as how to strengthen supply chain resiliency in preparation for future pandemics. The panel will also discuss guidance, regulations and restrictions seen globally.
• Post-Pandemic Workplace and the New Normal- This will focus on investing in improving workplace health and safety, protecting the safety and wellbeing of workers, and living with endemic COVID-19. It will also address challenges of virtual work.
