Apportez votre contribution à l'Examen national volontaire au Forum politique de haut niveau 2024

L'OIE encourage les membres des pays où des ENV seront présentés à s'engager dans le processus de préparation afin de faire entendre la voix des entreprises à la table de l'ONU (en anglais).

Voluntary national reviews (VNRs) take place each year in July during the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York. The VNRs highlight national progress and challenges with reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and share lessons learned. 

The VNR process takes several months with preparations starting soon. It is government-led, with support from the United Nations. It includes consultations with diverse stakeholders, including with employer organisations. 

Out of the 44 countries that have signed up to present their VNRs in 2024, 29 are those where IOE Members have a presence (list below).

The time to become an active stakeholder in the preparation process is now. We encourage you to reach out to your respective VNR national focal point. You can find all the relevant information here.

Inclusive participation of the private sector in the VNR preparation process is crucial to ensure that the business perspective is part of the development and implementation of the process. Business needs to build bridges with national governments, UN Resident Coordinators, and the UN system in general, through a practical and solutions-oriented dialogue. We are encouraging governments and the UN to have employers participate in the preparation and be part of the delegation presenting the VNR. 

IOE is committed to bringing employers to the table with the UN and governments at country level and will be supporting our members in doing so.
