The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), the International Organisation for Employers (IOE), and the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) have formed a partnership to facilitate a series of dialogues involving policymakers, development partners, and other stakeholders. The objective is to identify specific policy actions that can expedite the development of digital skills in Africa. As part of this collaboration, three virtual webinars will be organised, bringing together experts and policymakers. The culmination of these discussions will be an event at the UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in July 2023.

These dialogues draw upon the collective research and analysis conducted by all three organisations, in addition to global experiences and successful African practices. The primary focus is to identify replicable policies or policy actions that can bring about significant positive changes. The dialogue process will also encourage peer-to-peer learning and knowledge exchange, fostering an active learning environment.

  • The first expert dialogue, coordinated by ACET, will be held in June 2023 and will explore the theme of "Reimagining African TVET for Job Growth."

  • The second dialogue, scheduled for 23 June, will center around "Addressing Disinformation in Africa: Strengthening Data Management & Citizen Skills."

  • Lastly, the third dialogue, taking place on 29 June, will delve into the topic of "Human and Social Skills in the Digital Era."

More detailed information regarding each event will be provided in upcoming communications. These details will be shared to ensure that participants have a comprehensive understanding of the agenda and can actively engage in the webinars.
