Appel aux employeurs à participer à la Ve conférence mondiale de l'OIT sur l’élimination du travail des enfants et à participer à la réunion préparatoire de l'OIE

Inscrivez-vous dès maintenant à la Ve Conférence mondiale de l'OIT sur l'élimination du travail des enfants, du 15 au 20 mai 2022, et à la réunion préparatoire de l'OIE, le 28 mars 2022 (en anglais).

The ILO Global Conference on Elimination of Child Labour will take place on 15-20 May 2022 in Durban, South Africa, in a hybrid format. It is an important opportunity for employers to join this global discussion, along with governments, trade unions and civil society on how to accelerate further collective actions to reach SDG Target 8.7 to eradicate child labour by 2025. Active participation and engagement from the private sector in this conference are vital to sending a strong message to the world that employers are committed to combating child labour.

The goal of the Conference will be to build on the achievement of the International Year for the Elimination of Child Labour in 2021 and take stock of progress achieved since the last conference in Buenos Aires in 2017. It will also serve to identify good practices, viable solutions and also implementation gaps. It will reinforce the commitment of all stakeholders to accelerate the fight against child labour in line with Target 8.7 of the Sustainable Development Goals and to coordinate local, national, regional and global efforts. The programme includes forums, panel discussions, brainstorming sessions and side events.

In preparation for this Conference, IOE is also organising a preparatory meeting on Monday 28 March 2022, 13:30-15 CET to discuss the thematic panels and also the developments of the draft outcome document, which will be adopted in the Global Conference. Participants will also hear directly from a government representative of the host country, South Africa, on the updates of the conference preparation.
