Class of 2018: Global Young Employer Organisations' Professionals Academy, Madrid

The second edition of the IOE's very successful Global Young Employer Organisations' Professionals Academy concluded with a week-long training session in Madrid, Spain from 9-13 April.  This session was preceded by a two-week distance-learning preparation module.

Thanks to funding from the European Union, within the framework of the IOE-EU Partnership Project, the IOE cooperated once again with the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO) and the training centre of the Spanish Employers' Organisation (CEOE) to deliver:

  • Skills development of young employer organisation professionals (under the age of 35) working in IOE-member organisations around the world
  • Network-building capacity of young employer organisation professionals to enhance their expertise, experience, and the exchange of best practices

24 young professionals from 20 countries participated in the Academy and were awarded the Young Employer Organisations' Professional Academy certificate on their successful completion of the course.

Do you have a young professional in your organisation who could benefit from this training programme? If so, encourage them to apply for the 2019 Academy which will take place next March/April - date to be determined!  The call for applications will be issued towards the end of 2018.

For more information, please consult the Terms of Reference and Programme which may be accessed via the links in the side panel, or contact Ms Anetha Awuku at the IOE (awuku@ioe-emp.com).
