REGISTER NOW: Multiple business and human rights events starting next week

Detailed information on content and registration for the upcoming meetings related to the business and human rights forum.

Next week, from 16-18 November, the annual UN Forum on Business and Human Rights will take place virtually. This offers the opportunity for colleagues, for whom it was in the past not feasible to go to Geneva for this event, to participate online. Although this year no side-events are possible, IOE and IOE member federations are represented in a number of high-level sessions of the Forum. Further information and the registration link can be found here.

As in the previous years, IOE has taken the lead in organising jointly with other business organisations a business networking event. This year's cocktail will be a virtual meeting in which we will use innovative approaches to ensure the active engagement of all participants. An illustrator will produce live visuals of the meetings which will be a new kind of outcome. The event will be take place digitally on 20 November from 14:00 – 15:30 CET. Registration for this event can be done here.

Directly the week after, from 23 – 25 November, the 1st Regional Forum on Business and Human Rights in Eastern Europe and Central Asia will take place digitally. More information as well as the registration link can be found here.

IOE is partnering in the organisation of the Forum and is organising, on 23 November 2020 from 13.30-15.00 CET together with BDA, a panel on “Collective action – the Dos and Don'ts to strengthen partnerships for addressing systemic challenges”. Members and partners will be able to join this session through the platform of the 1st Regional Forum on Business and Human Rights in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

On 3 December from 3-5pm CET, IOE is organising, jointly with WBCSD and the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights, a consultation on the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in the Latin American region. More information will be provided soon.
