Aim of the meeting
The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) High-Level Working Group on Employment and labour is the first meeting after the UfM Ministerial Conference held on April 2019. The meeting purpose is aiming at taking stock of the Ministerial recommendations agreed, namely supporting decent job creation and entrepreneurship, mobilising public and private stakeholders to create partnerships and synergies, building inclusive labour markets to integrate potentially vulnerable and disadvantaged groups, and investing in quality education systems and trainings, skill and employability in a changing world of work. The HLWG will also be an opportunity to discuss its Road map up to 2022.
IOE Role
The IOE will participate alongside with BusinessEurope to put forward the key business messages, including the informality challenge in the region and the need for productivity and skills strategy.
