Second part of the ILO Blue Report on violence and harassment in the world of work is out now

The ILO Report V(2) is published in two volumes. The present volume, Report V(2A), has been prepared on the basis of replies received from governments and employers’ and workers’ organisations, and contains the essential points of their observations.

Dear members and partners,

As previously communicated, we’d like to inform you that the Office has now published Part 2A of the Blue Report on Violence and Harassment.

Part A needs to be read in conjunction with Part B in order to understand the changes the Office is suggesting for the proposed Convention and Recommendation.Part A also includes a summary of the comments sent by the three Constituents to the previous report. The Office received 73 responses from members of the Employer’s Group, from 65 different countries, which unequivocally shows our Group’s strong involvement in this discussion and at the same time, the strong concerns the Employers have with the current texts. We take this opportunity to thank all IOE members who sent their comments, thus providing the Employers’ Group with a strong mandate to request substantial changes.

Please note that the proposed texts of the Convention and Recommendation contained in Part B will be the starting point of the second ILC discussion in June 2019.

We’d also like to remind you that the IOE will organise regional webinars in which we’ll discuss the proposals made by the Office and the strategy the Group should adopt during the informal consultations that the ILO will organise this week.
