Mexico will host the X Americas Competitiveness Forum

The X Americas Competitiveness Forum will take place in the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City from 13-15 September 2017. The central issues will be structural reforms and entrepreneurship, with the aim of sharing best practices and finding joint solutions to current challenges. The Forum is organised by the Mexican Government through its Secretariat of Economy, in its capacity as Pro Tempore President of the Inter-American Competitiveness Network, the National Institute of Entrepreneurship of Mexico (INADEM), and the Organization of American States as Technical Secretariat of the RIAC. CONCAMIN is also actively involved in supporting the event. More than 1,000 leaders, whose decisions impact the hemisphere's competitiveness through trade, industry and economic development, are expected to attend. These include Ministers and Vice Ministers, Presidents of Private Competitiveness Councils, prominent business leaders and academia. During the Forum, these decision makers will find numerous opportunities to interact, exchange experiences and forge higher collaboration. The Forum will provide keynote speeches, plenary discussions, workshops, interactive sessions, meeting rooms for bilateral discussions, recreational events and lounge rooms. For entrepreneurs, the Forum represents the regional event par excellence to connect with the highest authorities from the countries of the Americas, foster dialogue, establish collaboration and bridges that promote successful initiatives for the economic development in our societies. Likewise, the Forum is the ideal place to expand trade opportunities during the business roundtable and diverse areas for interaction that will take place throughout the week. The Forum will take place during Mexico's National Entrepreneur Week, which is one of the highest dimension and impact regional events for the national innovation ecosystem, with over 70,000 visitors and more than 500 conferences.
