Invitation to IOE Gender Network Webinar

IOE Gender Network launch webinar to take place on 11 September.

Dear new members of the IOE Gender Network,

We thank you for your patience. Now that the International Labour Conference is over we can start our work!

The main objectives of the Network are to encourage IOE members and partners to:

  • promote and advocate for gender equality and diversity at the workplace
  • share best practices and robust ideas
  • discuss what works and what doesn’t
  • contribute in the elaboration of IOE gender-related publications
  • participate at international gender events and training

The first activity on our agenda is a webinar to be held on 11 September 2019 at 17h30-18h20 Geneva time.

Ms Jae-Hee Chang, Gender Specialist at the ILO’s Bureau of Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP) will deliver a presentation entitled ‘Women in Business and Management: the business case for change’. The presentation will outline findings from the ACT/EMP report on the issue and propose several important recommendations for companies and employer organisations. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and share country and company level experiences.

As a follow up to this webinar, we would cordially invite members to review two IOE policy papers on gender equality and diversity in efforts to enrich the network’s data repository.

Please email Ms Elodie Richter (richter(at)ioe-emp.com) to register your interest. Details as to how to join the webinar will be sent closer to the event.

Looking forward,
