Important dates in 2018 for IOE Members and Partners in Europe and Central Asia

Dear Members,

We have another very rich year ahead for IOE Members in Europe & Central Asia.

As you are aware, the IOE represents the employers' community in very important global fora and policy debates, for instance in the ILO Standard Initiative, the G20/B20 process taking place this year in Argentina, the Future of Work, and concerning the ILO's collaboration with the tobacco sector among others. For these events, it is of utmost importance that IOE Members from Europe & Central Asia contribute with their own perspective, so as to shape priority-setting and programme delivery in the coming years.

We also call on Members from Europe & Central Asia to actively participate in regional activities and discussions.

This year the annual IOE meeting with its members from Europe & Central Asia, that aims at facilitating the networking and the exchange of experiences, ideas, and good practices, will be kindly hosted by the Employers' Confederation of Latvia (LDDK) in Riga, on 13-14 September 2018.

We would also like you to start saving other relevant dates in your calendar to ensure you are available to participate and/or share information in the following meetings:

  • 23 -27 April: Council of Europe Governmental Committee, Strasbourg
  • 24-28 September: Council of Europe Governmental Committee, Strasbourg

These activities are to be complemented by other IOE activities with a global reach including the policy working groups, and the preparation for the ILC, among others. We will keep you informed send you the relevant information and deadlines for each of these meetings.
