IOE Members and Partners may attend the forthcoming event: "Governance of Temporary Labour Migration in the Gulf: employer perspectives on the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration". An Agenda is available from the side panel.

The event is taking place in Dubai on 20 November 2017 and is organised by IOE Member - the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce - and in partnership with the IOE, GFMD Business Mechanism, IOM and the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

This event will be the opportunity for employers in the region to understand what the UN Global Compact for Migration (GCM) is and the potential impacts it is likely to have. It is also an opportunity for employers to contribute their perspectives on the key priorities for business concerning labour migration.

Please note, registrations are not being handled by the IOE. To register, please complete the registration form (see side panel) before 6 November 2017 and return it to iod@mohre.gov.ae.

The outcome of the meeting will feed into the drafting process of the GCM. Links to the GFMD Business Mechanism website and GCM website are available from the side panel. IOE Members and Partners are invited to continue to engage with the GFMD Business Mechanism by engaging in the global dialogue on migration.
