10th European Regional Meeting, Istanbul, Turkey, 2-5 October 2017 - Important information
Dear Members,
As previously announced, the ILO 10th European Regional Meeting will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, from 2-5 October 2017.
A dedicated ILO webpage has been set up, containing all relevant information for the meeting in English, French, Spanish, and Russian, notably:
- The provisional programme
- The form for credentials of delegations
- The invitation letter
- An information note
- List of hotels for delegates
Governments have already received the invitation letter and are composing their tripartite delegation. According to the rules of procedure of the ILO regional meetings, the travel and subsistence expenses of the tripartite delegation of each country (one employer representative) are covered by their respective Governments.
The website also contains the Report of the Director-General entitled: “What future for decent work in Europe and Central Asia: Opportunities and challenges”.
With regard to this meeting, and given the position taken by both ITUC and ETUC to advise its members against attending, we have circulated a letter underlining the importance of the employers participation. Please find attached the communication including the link in the side panel to the above mentioned letter, for your easy reference.
