Social Partners’ Summit in Algiers adopts a Call for Action for the implementation of the Blueprint for Jobs in Africa

The social partners summit held in Algiers on 22-23 April 2017 adopted a Call for Action addressed to African governments to implement the Blueprint for Jobs in Africa.

The call builds on the adoption of the Tunis model Action Plan, which provides a set of activities and programmes that the social partners can implement in collaboration with their governments at national level in order to create jobs and provide skills to the youth. The programmes will be implemented with the support of the Jobs for Africa Foundation.

The Call for Action was presented to the African Union Specialised Technical Committee on Social Development, Labour and Employment by Frederick Muia, IOE Senior Adviser for Africa and Secretary of the Jobs for Africa Foundation.
