Digital Wage Payments - Opportunities and Challenges

Location

Online

The International Organisation of Employers, in collaboration with the International Labour Organization and the Better Than Cash Alliance, holds a digital conference on 3 February 2021 from 13:00 to 14:30 CET.

The journey from cash to digital payments is gathering pace around the world. Businesses have played an important role in generating this momentum, as digitizing payments resulted in improved efficiencies and productivity, increased revenue through data analytics for business development, greater transparency and security, and stronger business relationships. However, many challenges remain.

The International Organisation of Employers has been mobilising its network during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide information to support members with safety and health measures, preventive actions to minimise disruption to productivity, strategies for mitigation of financial losses, and provide overviews of government initiatives to reduce economic stress on business during the crisis. As part of those efforts, IOE is organises a discussion (in English only) on the digital wage transition for its members, in collaboration with the International Labour Organization and the Better Than Cash Alliance.
