On 13 December 2021, IOE and KAS held a forward-looking discussion covering the latest developments and insights from experts in this important area.

Following up on the recent Human Rights Council decision to adopt a resolution on the human right to a safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment, an informal consultation for members organized by IOE in October, and the launch of a paper on climate change and human rights, IOE convened a dialogue on the linkages between climate change and human rights and the implications for business.

Experts from employers’ organisations, companies as well as international organisations provided practical and relevant insights on the key developments and their implications in the debate and policy development of human rights linked to the environment. IOE also provided an overview of the previous consultation and the main elements of the paper recently launched in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.
