The International Organisation of Employers (IOE) and the Business at OECD (BIAC) organised a digital gathering on 2 March13:30- 15:00 CET to update on the World Trade Organization (WTO) agenda after the postponement of the 12th Ministerial Meeting at the end of last year. The open session examined the latest developments in key areas related to trade, employment and sustainability and discussed WTO’s role in the response to the pandemic.

Specific subjects under discussion include:

  • WTO’s response to the pandemic
  • WTO reform
  • Strengthening inclusivity and sustainability in global trade
  • Digitisation
