IOE and Business Advisory Group on Migration major event on global skills shortage

Location

Online

As part of the business two-week takeover of the global It Takes A Community campaign, on 1 July from 14:00-15:30 (CET) IOE and Business Advisory Group on Migration will take a deep dive into the current war on talent and its impact on the public narrative on migration.

Why are migration policies taking on new importance for employers? What is the business care for well-regulated migration policy frameworks? And how can the private sector impact the public narrative on migration. These are some of the questions to be discussed in a open public session with business leaders and employer organisation senior staff. The event will also spotlight the winners of the latest Migration Challenge Tech Competition.

Watch the event on www.ioe-emp.org or on our social media channels - Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

The event will include three segments.

  • Part 1: Employers promoting the business case for migration.
  • Part 2: IOE’s launch of publications highlighting facts and data for effective policymaking.
  • Part 3: Tech start-ups presenting innovative solutions that contribute to changing the narrative on migration – the winner of a global start up competition will be announced!

The aim of the event is to create a better understanding on why migration matters to business and how businesses, through their voices, but also through their innovative solutions, can shift the narrative.
