Aim of meeting:

Covid-19 has drastically slowed down economic activity, job creation and skills development. To limit the economic and employment damage, it is vital that the private and public sectors work together for a rapid recovery.

On 1 September 2020 (Tuesday) from 13:30 - 15:00 CEST, IOE is bringing together stakeholders from employer federations with key international policy makers and experts. This high-level digital conference focuses on how education and training can help policymakers lay the right foundations for a strong, sustained and socially inclusive recovery. A joint flagship report by IOE and Deloitte is to be launched during the event on the future of skills and drive the discussion.

Participants will share best practices, policy guidance and recommendations on how to, slowly but surely, restore the confidence businesses need to restart their operations, especially the small and medium enterprises and use this disruption to build back better through upskilling and reskilling.

IOE Role:

IOE facilitates this virtual meeting.
