Request for inputs: Revising the IOE Position Paper on Labour Migration

Invitation for member consultations

Dear Members and Partners,

We are currently revising the IOE Position Paper on Labour Migration (2014) and would like to consult with you before finalizing this process. The revised and updated version of this paper will be presented at the GFMD Business meeting on 6 December in Marrakech.

This IOE Position Paper provides IOE Members and Partners with an overview of current international labour migration issues and their relevance to business and the private sector. It also, crucially, provides examples of IOE’s work in this area, the position of employers and the IOE relating to the different issues as well as experiences, best practices and key dynamics from different national and regional contexts.

Requested action:

• Review and revise the paper; and
• Provide input to the Paper in the form of “text boxes” with national/regional context, best practices or just key sentences.

Please note that given the length of the document and the large number of constituents included in this consultation, we would appreciate receiving minimal language edits. The deadline to send your input is 16 November 2018.
