G20




China took over the G20 presidency from Turkey on 1 December 2015. The employment-related priorities of the Chinese G20 presidency are:

  • Innovation
  • Decent Jobs

    • A more equitable and sustainable social security system
    • A national income growth mechanism
    • Better working conditions

  • Energetic Labour Markets

    • Pro-employment, macro-economic policies
    • Entrepreneurship for promoting employment
    • Unemployment, particularly youth employment

  • Adaptable Workforce

    • Strengthening analysis and forecast of impact of new economy on employment
    • Enhancing the effectiveness of vocational skill training
    • Improving adaptability of different workforces

Employment-related Meeting Schedule:

 

  • First meeting G20 Employment Working Group: 2 - 4 February, Guangzou

  • Second meeting G20 Employment Working Group: 27 - 29 April, Shanghai

  • Third meeting B20 Employment Working Group: 13 June, Geneva

  • G20 Employment Ministers: 12 -13 July, Beijing

  • G20 Leaders' Summit: 4 - 5 September, Hanghzou

The B20 will be coordinated by CCPIT, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and chaired by CCPIT Chairman, Mr Jiang Zengwei.

There will be six B20 Task Forces: Employment,  Financing Growth, Trade & Investment, Infrastructure, Anti-corruption, SME & Development.

The IOE is the networking partner of the B20 Employment Task Force.
