Other International Organizations

Labour and social policy discussion and debate are no longer the sole preserve of the International Labour Organization, with these issues now increasingly on the agenda in diverse other forums such as the G20.  The IOE is therefore called upon to engage in an increasing number of international and regional forums where issues that affect business are being discussed, and often this engagement is jointly organised with other representative organisations such as the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC), or the ICC, thus providing an even stronger voice for business.

Our aim in the coming years is to continue to develop and strengthen these relationships and thus enhance the current work the IOE does in the interests of its members.
