IOE and Worldwide ERC* digital conference on Global mobility and Covid-19: impact for businesses

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has led governments to implement a range of temporary immigration-related measures to contain the spread of the virus. These include entry or travel restrictions, quarantine upon entry in a country, closing of consular posts and visa application centers among others. Transportation is suspended having an impact on global mobility of workers and the recruitment of foreign workforce, straining businesses.

Please join IOE and Worldwide ERC for a digital conference which will aim at assisting you in strengthening advocacy to governments on global mobility.

Fostering Skills and Productivity during Covid-19

What challenges do managers face in maintaining productivity levels during the crisis? Is it still possible to maintain similar levels of productivity? How can the private sector still maintain its competitiveness whilst addressing the health and financial implications of the crisis? Can the time now be strategically used to develop the various skills of employees? What are the lessons learned from the crisis on skills development, reskilling and the alternative ways to promote a learning culture? What are the roles of Employer and Business Organisations and companies in assisting their members and clients?
