Invitation to the annual thematic meeting of the GFMD Business Mechanism (23 October 2018, Kuala Lumpur)

We are pleased to invite you to the annual thematic meeting of the GFMD Business Mechanism on 23 October in Kuala Lumpur on “Business Perspectives on Regional Mobility: Learning from the Now to Shape the Future”.

The Business Mechanism, coordinated by the IOE, is the ideal platform to enhance public–private dialogue and deepen the engagement of international companies in the development of migration policy. Endorsed as a permanent feature of the GFMD, the Business Mechanism articulates the priorities of the private sector and brings its expertise in promoting more transparent, effective and humane migration policies, taking into account labour market needs and economic perspectives.

The meeting aims at compiling business input on labour migration and regional integration in Asia. The outcome will be presented at the GFMD Summit on 5-7 December in Marrakesh, Morocco.
