Uganda federation to host 42nd Annual Meeting of East, Central & Southern Africa employers' organisations in Kampala on 26-27 April 2018

IOE member, the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE), is to host and co-organise the 2018 Annual Meeting of East, Central & Southern Africa employers' organisations in Kampala on 26-27 April. IOE members in the region are cordially invited to save the dates!

This longstanding gathering, now proudly to celebrate its 42nd edition, will bring together the employers' organisations of the region to share experiences of, and solutions to, common challenges, such as youth unemployment, and will include a session to follow-up on the outcomes of the 2017 meeting, which took place in Walvis Bay under the auspices of the Namibia Employers Federation.

Please refer to the link in the side panel to download the Walvis Bay Declaration and note in particular the commitment expressed therein to evaluate progress towards stated goals at this 2018 session.  A questionnaire will be sent out in due course to capture your experiences for further discussion in Kampala.

Limited funding from the European Union will be available to cover travel and subsistence expenses.  Please contact Graça Luzitu at the IOE (luzitu@ioe-emp.com) as soon as possible, and by 23 March at the latest, if you would like to apply for funding.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Kampala!
