Policy Areas
The IOE works to ensure that the one voice of employers is heard in all relevant international debates on labour and social policy. Such discussions are occurring in a larger number of international forums than in the past, within and beyond the United Nations system, including at the level of the G20.
In 2010 the Management Board created a Policy Positions Working Group (PPWG) to support and guide the Secretariat in identifying gaps in material, as well as needs for revision, within the existing body of IOE policy documents, the goal being to equip members to effectively engage in labour and social policy debates at national, regional and international level.
This section of the IOE website is a one-stop shop for policy guidance and position material and we will shortly be adding a section for the exchange of member material.
Members are strongly encouraged to submit material they have developed and would like to share, and to contact Brent Wilton with requests for policy topics to be considered by the PPWG for elaboration by the Secretariat.
