The IOE has increased its involvement with the International Standardization Organization (ISO) principally as regards the CSR debate. ISO has established a high-level, multi-stakeholder strategic advisory group to address the issue of whether ISO should develop standards for Corporate Social Responsibility. The IOE is represented on this group.

The IOE position on the ISO Final Draft International Stardard (FDIS) has now been communicated to the ISO. Developed in consultation with our national employer federation, it reflects the views of the substantial majority of members who commented on the draft IOE position. The ISO voting process will conclude on 12 September and we will communicate further updates to members by circular and our website.
