Services to Members

The IOE:
  • Coordinates employers’ views and provides advice and guidance to the Employers' Group in all International Labour Organization (ILO) activities

  • Provides guidance on all relevant policy areas affecting employers and their organisations

  • Develops policy positions which can be used at national level

  • Supplies direct technical assistance to individual members on social and labour issues

  • Presents members with the opportunity to attend international meetings convened by the ILO and other international organisations

  • Organises conferences, workshops, seminars and training on a national, regional and international basis

  • Provides leadership in the implementation of the Global Compact

  • Provides a platform for business interaction with the ILO

  • Through the ILO programme for employers' activities (ACT/EMP), ensures that IOE members benefit from technical cooperation and services

  • Provides to members international recognition and national exclusivity of services
