IOE President Daniel Funes de Rioja recognised by Konex Foundation as one of the most outstanding Argentine "Business and Labor Law" personalities of the last decade

On 13 September, Dr. Daniel Funes de Rioja, President of the International Organisation of Employers, was awarded the Order of Merit of the prestigious Konex Foundation, Buenos Aires. In conferring this award, the Foundation recognised Dr. Funes de Rioja as one of the most distinguished Argentine figures of the past decade in the area of commercial and labour law. Dr. Funes de Rioja was selected from among more than 500 nominees for, inter alia, achieving excellence in his role as employer representative, both nationally and internationally, his exemplary work and his sound ethics.
The one hundred figures recognised during the ceremony were selected by a Grand Jury, chaired by economist Bernardo Kosacoff and featuring twenty past Konex Foundation award-winners.
The Konex Foundation was established in 1969 by Luis Ovsejevich, an Argentine entrepreneur and proponent of meritocracy, with the aim of promoting, stimulating, collaborating and participating in all kinds of initiatives, projects and enterprises that promote the highest expressions of cultural, educational, intellectual, artistic, social, philanthropic, scientific or sporting endeavour.
